Because I never listen to news on any channel that has an “N” followed immediately by a “B” and then a “C”, I didn’t know who this Rick Santelli character was who was being quoted so approvingly by people. Interesting…the article says that “one teacher stepped down” from judging the competition. I’d say that Lia and the pro-choice teacher (by her unwillingness to even listen to a speech in opposition to her own beliefs) both taught important things that day, wouldn’t you?


This phrase comes from the 1978 "Jonestown massacre" in which most members of the Peoples Temple cult, blindly following their leader Jim Jones, committed suicide by drinking cyanide-laced Kool-Aid.
