I’ve Been Tagged…

The Rules:
List five songs that you are currently rocking out! It doesn’t matter the genre. What matters is that you post five songs that you’re really enjoying right now. Post the instructions, the artist and the song in your blog along with your five songs. Then tag five other people to see what they’re listening to.

OK, OK, Andrew Heffner posted this a few weeks back, specifically named me (not sending me any notice of said tagging), and since it’s been awhile since I’ve been to his site, I didn’t know about it. OK, Andrew, I’ll play along…if you’ll get a life (fat chance!):

1. “Unaware” – MercyMe (Awesome, awesome song!)

2. “Silver Springs” – Fleetwood Mac (Sing it, Stevie…)

3. “Paul and Virginia” – Over the Rhine (Best group you never heard of)

4. “All Things New” – Steven Curtis Chapman (One of those 80′s singers…)

5. “One” – BeeGees (I’m man enough to admit it!)

See, Andrew, the answer was not “pick any five songs by Wayne Watson”! I’ll tag u2canlive (Laura B); steelerdirtfreak (PaulO); throckmorton (throckmorton); RUSerious (Dennis, still out there?); and achristianworldview (my newest link, my friend Scott). Let me know when you post, guys!

  • No Kool Aid Zone?

drink the Kool-Aid - to accept an argument or philosophy blindly.

no kool aid zoneThis phrase comes from the 1978 "Jonestown massacre" in which most members of the Peoples Temple cult, blindly following their leader Jim Jones, committed suicide by drinking cyanide-laced Kool-Aid.

Radically Tolerant - of all people, irrespective of race, faith, circumstance. As a person, you will be treated with the respect and dignity you deserve as an individual created in the image of God.

Radically Intolerant - of slipshod reasoning, emotion without intellectual substance, bad ideas, lazy thinking, cowardly ad hominem attacks, the preposterous notion that 9/11 is some government conspiracy (proceed directly to the Loony Bin; do not pass "Go"; do not collect $200), the designated hitter, and the Dallas Cowboys.
