A High Honor
I consider it a high honor to have been asked to be the chapel speaker for junior week (ages 9-11) at Seneca Hills Bible Camp, in Franklin, PA, starting this evening. As such, the time blog will be largely silent, except for hosting the Christian Carnival mid-week. As you think about it, remember me and the campers in prayer this week, that God would challenge the hearts of these wonderful kids.

This phrase comes from the 1978 "Jonestown massacre" in which most members of the Peoples Temple cult, blindly following their leader Jim Jones, committed suicide by drinking cyanide-laced Kool-Aid.

An honor indeed, Byron. If I don’t pray for people on the spot I’m likely to forget so I’ll offer my prayer now via the keyboard: Father, please delight and nourish Byron through your Word as he preaches Christ to these young children. Use him to impress them with your majesty, grace, and holiness. Stir repentance and faith in those who are lost. Edify, encourage, and correct those who are yours. May his messages penetrate and remain in the hearts of those who listen for their welfare and your glory. Amen.
