I’d rather be bloggin’, but…

Well, that’s not entirely true; actually, it isn’t even close. I leave with the fam today for a 10-day jaunt that will put us in Cancun mid-day Thursday through the following Friday afternoon, courtesy of Karen’s folks, who have a timeshare there and told us that the stay was free if we could get ourselves there (which is anything but free, mind you…).

I’ve rounded up some choice “guest bloggers” to take my place during my time away, and frankly, the quality of discourse on this site will likely go up significantly in my absence! First, Dr. Warren Throckmorton, a good friend who is leading the way in researching same-sex attraction, will be posting. Dr. Throckmorton takes a bold stand for the proposition that it is possible for those tempted by homosexual sin to effectively be delivered from these feelings and redirect their focus into heterosexual behavior. This controversial stance has attracted much scorn from the radical gay lobby, and has placed Dr. Throckmorton in the crosshairs. He has been a guest on The O’Reilly Factor, as well as doing many Christian radio and television programs on the subject. Warren is an entertaining writer who offers a professional—and good-humored—perspective on current events.

Second, Bill Truax will be posting some. Bill serves our country as an officer in the Marine Corps, most recently in Iraq. Bill excels as a writer, and offers a perspective on military affairs that you won’t get from Peter Jennings and whoever the slanter-du-jour is at CBS News. Bill, too, is a personal friend, a committed follower of Christ, and an American hero and patriot. I believe you’ll enjoy hearing from Bill.

Finally, Paul Oyler from SteelerDirtFreak will be posting as well. Paul’s been a friend for 30 years, and is my webbie-dude, in addition to hosting his own widely-read blog. Paul’s sometimes off-the-wall style, coupled with his gut-level honesty, make his postings worth the read as well.

I’m happy to open up my little corner of the web to these good friends, and hope that you’ll enjoy what they have to offer. Now, to go work on my tan…
